Designed specifically for the home – small, light-weight, easy to store and portable! An exactly duplicate of the proven Mark I machine exceptfor the motor, switch and cabinet. A high speed, powerful, permanent magnet motor nestles inside the 17 1/2″ cabinet together with a continuously variable speed controller. Faceting head and mast are investment cast aluminum/magnesium alloys that are machined and fitted to extremely close tolerances. All spindles and bar stock are precision-turned stainless steel for maximum durability and lasting beauty. All components are of space-saver size with the performance of a full size faceting machine. The faster running Mark IV will speed pre–forming and occasional cabochon work. Comes with a solid state speed controller and an on/off switch coupled to a high speed permanent magnet, variable speed DC motor. The belt, pulleys, switch and extra long 3-conductor cord are factory assembled and wired to produce a full power continuously variable speed range of 0 to 600 RPM! Just plug it in and it’s ready to run. The sturdy castings are assembled on a handsome 9 1/2″ x 17 1/2″ walnut mica cabinet for easy cleaning and lasting beauty.

Base: Made of high strength 6061 aluminum alloy, this plate is 18 inches long, 11 inches wide and 3/8 inch hardened black anodized finish.Arbor: The arbor shaft is bearing quality stainless steel with a pressed on aluminum platen that rides on precision preloaded ball bearings to eliminate endplay. The Arbor has adjusting features for aligning the horizontal swing of the dop arm assembly.Motor: Leeson 1/6hp, 90 volt dc, 3500 rpm, and 48 in oz of torque. (Arbor speed 80 to 2000 rpm)Drive Belt Tension: Self adjusting.Upright : This vertical shaft is 3/4″ diameter, 17 ½ Inches tall and bearing quality stainless steel.Height Adjustment: Push button quick release height adjustment allows you to go from one end of the mast to the other. Plus micro height assembly is a single unit on the upright. Calibration is .007 for each dot. One full turn equals .086.Horizontal Slide: Stainless steel round dove tail, positive lock any position.Vertical Slide: Positive lock with easy push button release move from one end of the mast to the other.Protractor: 1º resolution with 5 º over run on either end of 0º and 90º. The over run allows for faceting the girdle of the gem.Angle Stop Knob: This knob is calibrated to break down protractor scale into 1/10 º increments I.e. each dot on the knob equals 1/10º , one full turn of the knob equals 1 º.Angle Stop: Is positive with micro fine adjustment.Dial Indicator: pressure gauge can be used to read 1/10º increments of the angel dial. .003 dial indicator reading equals 1/10º.Dop Arm: Is concentrically adjustable to .0002 TIR (total indicated runout). The dop arm can be removed easily with out removing the index gear. This access allows multiple head operations by commercial faceting or schools.Precision Collet Chuck: This chuck is a split self -centering type.Dop Alignment: Is done with a set screw that permits removal and replacement of the dop while maintaining radial alignment.Index Trigger: Is a brass tooth that can be replaced when ever needed.Index Splitter: (cheater): Radial type rotates the dop arm 10º right or 10º left of the center position. This adjustment is smooth and with anti -back lash. Both the Scintillator and the Xristal-Tek come as 8″ with 96 index wheel, dial indicator repeat gauge, transfer block, 45º table dop, set of 12 dops, drip tank, allen wrenches and free wheeling pin.
